CLINICAL OPTOMETRIST FOR A NEW PRACTICE IN CANBERRA
ABOUT US
JUNIC Eye Care is an independent optometry practice focused on clinical optometry and comprehensive patient eyecare. Our area of expertise includes low vision rehabilitation, dry eyes evaluation and treatment and general optometry.
The practice is situated in a new Canberra suburb within a large medical complex, comprising a 10 room GP practice, pharmacy, dental practice and other allied health practitioners.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a part-time optometrist, with potential for full time, to join our team. You will be working alongside qualified optical dispensers and have exposure to a broad scope of practice and steady referrals from other health practitioners. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and computer systems including, fundus camera, slit-lamp imaging, OCT, latest Humphrey visual field machine, Maia perimetry, automated phoropter and autorefractor.
Additionally, this position is for a passionate optometrist who enjoys their job and wants to make a positive impact on people’s lives. A therapeutics qualification is desirable but not a necessity (with plan to becoming therapeutically qualified in the next 12 to 24 months). You will share our commitment to continuing improvement and forming lasting relationships with colleagues and patients.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
At least 2 years’ experience / post-graduation.
Excellent clinical skills and Strong organisational skills with excellent time management
Optometry practice Management systems experience
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent skills in communicating with the doctors, staff, patients and relatives in a professional manner and the ability to react favourably in all work situations
