Startup Provides Free Telehealth Vision Tests For ECPs
US startup company Visibly recently announced that it will globally provide optometrists, ophthalmologists, and optical service providers free access to its Visibly Digital Acuity Product, an anywhere, anytime virtual vision test technology to ensure that patients can meet their eye health needs during this unprecedented time.

According to the company, Visibly is the world’s first advanced eye care telehealth technology that connects consumers with licensed eye care professionals (ECP) for a vision test without the need for an in-person appointment. The Visibly technology can be accessed anywhere, anytime whether that is online from a consumer’s home or work or in a brick and mortar retail setting, allowing consumers to complete a vision test in 10 minutes or less. The easy-to-use technology results in a valid prescription signed by a licensed ECP that can be used to purchase glasses or contacts from any retailer without any lapse in service.

Visibly Digital Acuity Product is manufactured and distributed by Visibly, Inc. and operates under the Enforcement Policy for Remote Ophthalmic Assessment and Monitoring Devices during the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency issued by the FDA in April 2020. This product has not been approved by the FDA. The data and recommendations made by the Visibly Digital Acuity Product are adjunctive (supporting) recommendations that will be used by an Eye Care Provider, along with the patient's medical history and profile, prior corrective eyewear prescriptions, and subjective data provided about the patient's vision.
