Australian Eyewear company AM Eyewear has developed the AM EYEWEAR 4 SUPPORT ACT sunglass in order to support the Australian Music Industry which has been heavily impacted by COVID-19. The frame will be sold exclusively on ameyewear.com, with all profits generated from the sales going to Support Act in order to assist them with the increase in needed funds since the postponing of many events. Support Act is Australia’s only charity delivering crisis relief services to artists, crew and music workers as a result of ill health, injury, a mental health problem, or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music.
The unisex sunglass, which has been designed to appeal to a broad range of music lovers, is made from black Italian acetate and features an understated red interior embossed with the Support Act Logo, fitted with Italian Carl ZEISS sun lenses.
"We love these sunnies.” said Support Act’s CEO Clive Miller, “Not only do they look cool, but with summer coming on they will also provide protection for people’s eyes. Huge thanks to AM Eyewear for developing the frame with the Support Act brand included, and for helping our efforts to provide support to music workers affected by the current pandemic."
In support of the guardian angels of the Australian Music Industry - Support Act, a legion of Australian household names will be wearing the sunglass and sharing the message in show solidarity to their colleagues.
The AM EYEWEAR 4 SUPPORT ACT sunglass is also supported by Byron Bay Blues Fest, Fairgrounds, Field Day, Frontier Touring, Fuzzy, Harbour Life, Listen Out, Live Nation Entertainment & Events, Oxford Arts Factory, Poster Child and Splendour In The Grass, who in a display of gratitude for the people behind the Australian Music Industry have been sharing the initiative across their digital channels.
