Safilo Announces Early Renewal of Kering Eyewear Supply Contract
Safilo Group and Kering Eyewear have announced the early renewal of their supply agreement, extending the contract through 2029. The official press release, dated May 29, 2025, confirms that this renewal strengthens the longstanding partnership between the two companies, which began with the original agreement signed in 2014. Safilo is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of eyewear. Kering Eyewear manages the development and distribution of eyewear for luxury and sport brands within the Kering Group.
The supply agreement between Safilo and Kering Eyewear has been renewed ahead of schedule, with the new contract running through 2029. Safilo will continue to manufacture and supply eyewear products for Kering Eyewear’s extensive portfolio, which includes globally recognized brands such as Gucci, Cartier, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Chloé, Alexander McQueen, Montblanc, Dunhill, Alaïa, and Puma, as well as proprietary brands Lindberg, Maui Jim, and Zeal Optics. The renewal provides Safilo with increased revenue visibility and supports its business stability. Analysts estimate the agreement contributes approximately 4% to 5% of Safilo’s annual revenues.
The announcement was positively received, with Safilo’s shares rising as much as 4.4% following the news.
This renewal reinforces both companies’ commitment to innovation, quality, and the continued growth of their partnership in the global eyewear market.
