Talking Eyes Podcast Launches Season Two: Talking Cornea

Talking Eyes - Season 2After a highly successful debut season in 2024 with Talking Retina, the Talking Eyes podcast returns in 2025 with Talking Cornea—a brand-new season exploring the fascinating front surface of the eye.

This season has been carefully stratified to engage two audiences:

  • Mainstream listeners—with accessible, story-driven episodes covering what the cornea is, the evolution of contact lenses, living with keratoconus, corneal transplants and eye banking, and the everyday challenge of dry eyes.
  • Eye care practitioners—with a dedicated professional series diving deeper into the clinical aspects of corneal care. These episodes highlight clinical pearls for the management of keratoconus, fitting hard contact lenses on complex corneas, diagnosing and treating dry eye disease, and updates on laser vision correction.

Host Lien Trinh, an optometrist and advocate for equitable access to eye health, brings together leading experts, researchers, and people with lived experience to provide both an insider’s view and a human lens on the world of corneal health.

Season one opened up conversations about the retina, and the response from both the public and practitioners was incredible,” says Ms. Trinh. “With Talking Cornea, we’ve taken extra time to develop a season that not only explains this vital part of the eye to the wider public but also delivers technical depth and practical insight to support clinicians.

The public series will be released weekly from 8 October 2025 on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube, offering accessible, engaging stories about the cornea and its impact on vision and eye health.

The Talking Cornea Practitioner Series is proudly sponsored by Alcon. Alcon helps people see brilliantly. As one of the global leaders in eyecare with a heritage spanning over 75 years, Alcon offers an extensive portfolio of products to enhance sight and improve people’s lives. The practitioner series is available exclusively to eye care practitioners only, and can be accessed through Optometry Australia and Mivision web platforms from November.
