French Eyewear Brand Vuarnet Opens First Store in US
On July 14, Vuarnet opened its first store in the United States, in the heart of New York. Two years ago, the French brand had already installed a pop-up store in the district of Soho during the end of the year celebrations.
For the French brand, it's a return of history: everything began in the United States with the coronation of Olympic downhill champion, Jean Vuarnet , at Squaw Valley in 1960. It is especially in the US market that Vuarnet stood out in the 80s as a major sunglasses brand. According to the company, the expression "It's a Vuarnet day today" has become synonymous with sunny weather.
Located in the Nolita district of Manhattan, the boutique offers all the collections: sunglasses, beachwear and skiwear textile collections as well as limited editions. "After 3 years of development in the United States, the opening of our flagship store in New York is a key step for Vuarnet. We have great ambitions here, because the brand is known and desired, "said Lionel Giraud, president of the brand.
Vuarnet in the United States has a network of 350 optical retailers in the country that represent Vuarnet. It also has a presence in prestigious department stores, collaborations with cult brands New York (Rag & Bones and Noah ) and a new e-commerce site.
