Mondottica Group Doubles Down on Luxury with Off-White and Palm Angels Eyewear Debuts

Global eyewear manufacturer Mondottica Group has launched two new luxury brand partnerships this month, introducing debut Spring/Summer 2026 collections from Off-White and Palm Angels to optical retailers worldwide, including Australia.

The dual launches represent a strategic push into the luxury streetwear segment for Mondottica, which already holds licences for brands including Vivienne Westwood, AllSaints, and Scotch & Soda.

Both collections arrived in stores in January 2026, offering optical dispensers unisex, made-in-Italy frames designed to appeal to fashion-conscious consumers seeking premium eyewear with distinctive design credentials.

Standout pieces include the 'Virgil M' sun style—a bold, chunky black acetate frame referencing brand founder Virgil Abloh—and its companion 'Elizabeth S' in striking white acetate with dark lenses. Both feature the brand's iconic "Arrows" logo on the temples.

In the optical range, the OW5037 combines metal and acetate in a slightly cat-eye silhouette framed by the brand's signature exaggerated metal quotation marks, while the OW9000 offers chunky black acetate with an optional magnetic shade clip-on.

Founded in 2013 by the late Virgil Abloh, Off-White has established itself as a cultural force in contemporary fashion. Now under the creative direction of Ibrahim Kamara, the brand continues to bridge streetwear aesthetics with luxury craftsmanship.

The SUN26 collection features the 'Angel' style, showcasing a chunky black acetate front with oversized temples displaying the brand's gothic font in contrasting yellow, and 'Imperial', a gold square frame with sculptural double hinges and pale blue lenses.

Key optical styles include the PA6001, a round matte black metal frame with double hinges and signature gothic script logo, and PA5035, a contemporary pilot silhouette in on-trend green acetate.

Founded in 2011, Palm Angels emerged from a creative dialogue between Los Angeles street culture and Milanese design sophistication, evolving from a photographic project into a globally recognised luxury streetwear brand.

Strategic Portfolio Building

Tony Pessok, CEO of Mondottica Group, emphasised the strategic importance of both additions to the company's brand portfolio.

"These made-in-Italy unisex styles combine fashion-forward design with distinctive detailing—exactly what opticians and customers expect from the brand," Pessok said of the Off-White launch, adding that the brand joins Palm Angels and Vivienne Westwood as the group continues to elevate its luxury offering.

On Palm Angels, he noted the brand "joins Mondottica Group's growing portfolio of luxury fashion brands" and represents "inclusive luxury for the next generation."

Both brands are owned by Bluestar Alliance, the US-based brand management company founded in 2006, which oversees a portfolio generating more than US$13 billion in global retail sales.

Joey Gabbay, CEO of Bluestar Alliance, said eyewear represents "an integral part of the brand's ambitious international growth strategy" for Palm Angels, with the company excited to bring "the same attention to details and craftsmanship to eyewear that define our other collections."

Market Availability

Both collections are available through Mondottica's global optical network, which includes Australia among its markets spanning the UK, Europe, India, Middle East, and Asia.

The collections launch with select fashion retailers across these markets, both online and offline. Line sheets, sell-in materials, and merchandising assets are available on request from Mondottica.

For Australian optical retailers interested in ranging either collection, contact details and further information are available through Mondottica's local distribution network.
